'The 4th Universe' offers an overview of Susannah Stracer's paintings and drawings over the decades. She has worked in oil and gouache on canvas and paper and later in acrylic on paper and all sorts of improvised materials like breadstick- and facecream boxes, used covid-facemasks, old knickers and wallpaper - the choice of material doesn't really make a big difference. What matters is the fact that in paint a whole universe can be expressed that cannot be expressed in writing, in photography or music.
