A book full of thoughts that any teenager can have. And while they may think that those thoughts are crazy, this book shows that they are totally normal, and most of all, okay to have. Growing up, from “just a kid” to becoming a teenager, is not for the weak. It is like falling into deep waters. Drowning, getting air, and being pulled under again. From my thirteenth to my fifteenth year of life. I found my way of getting air. Writing what I felt and creating art with it. My poetry, my grasps for air, are about everything a teenager can go through. During those first few years, not being a “kid” but a “teenager”. Not feeling what the world tells you that you should feel. I learned one important thing, while writing these 80 poems: It is okay to feel.
I used to think “my mind is crazy” for thinking so much and such crazy things. But now, I can scream, “My mind is crazy.” Because fuck yeah, these crazy thoughts just made my dream come through. My own goddamn poetry book.
