De zoon van Raven wordt naar de Stationsstraat gestuurd om te leren tussen de Gewonen te leven. Hoewel hij daarvan niet gecharmeerd is verandert dit als hij de Gewone Aiya ontmoet. Hij houdt zich daarom aan de regels, totdat er van hem wordt gevraagd om zijn krachtige magie opnieuw te gebruiken en komt zelfs zijn zus Byrgid naar de Stationsstraat. Het lijkt alsof hij moet kiezen tussen zijn liefde voor Aiya of zijn leven als krachtige magiër. Of niet?
