This catalogue presents a selection of portrait drawings made by Quinten De Coene, ranging from 2014 to the recent work at the end of 2020. His body of work has grown to over one thousand paintings and drawings, with additional works in other mediums such as photography and sculpture. He continues to work each day, painting the landscapes of his neighbourhood or drawing portraits of his friends and family. A fascination for the human face and psychology is at the front of his art. This has resulted in hundreds of portraits over the last ten years. Therefore this catalogue presents a small selection to represent the different approaches to the genre by the artist, rather than to give a chronological overview.
