“The Horse Meadow” is the personal story of John J. Beckers of how he created a natural living environment for his horse. Over a period of three years, in total twelve seasons, he completely renovated an old stable and turned a barren meadow into a true “horse’s paradise”.
John recounts significant events that happened to the horses through the seasons, to the many people he met on the way, and to himself. The book also contains many tips on meadow management.
Each chapter ends with “horse talks” where John reflects in a humorous and practical way on the nature of the horse and demystifies many notions about its behaviour.
Horses and people have a lot to give to each other. Willingness is the key word that unlocks a new world of insights, best practices, and good feeling.
