Siv woont in zee. Hij is een vrolijke vis en heel bijzonder, want hij heeft poten. Zo is hij geboren. Maar op de bodem van de zee komt hij geen stap vooruit. Misschien lukt het wel op het land! Wietse Walvis brengt hem naar het strand. Daar ontmoet hij Janno, een jongetje. Ze gaan op pad.
Het is maar goed dat ze samen zijn, want Siv stapt op het land van het ene avontuur in het andere.
