De begijntjes gaan lesgeven op een internaat dat gevestigd is in een oud kasteel. De directrice, een oude bekende, vindt geen leerkrachten en dus stappen Eufrasie, Begonia en Prudentia in hun oude 'geitje' en gaan op pad om te helpen. Al snel merken ze dat er iets vreemds aan de hand is op school: het spookt er! En dat spook jaagt alle leerkrachten weg… De begijntjes vragen Jommeke en zijn vrienden om het raadsel op te lossen.
