Alaaf! In café De Zatte Prins houdt het carnavalscomité van Zonnedorp een vergadering over wie de volgende Prins Carnaval wordt. Die mag voor één dag de plak zwaaien in Zonnedorp. Flip stelt zich kandidaat, maar Anatool ruikt zijn kans om een listig plannetje te bekokstoven. Ook hij stelt zich kandidaat! Twee kandidaten voor één functie? Het carnavalscomité beslist: Anatool en Flip moeten allebei hun eigen stoet organiseren en wie het meeste aanhangers heeft, wordt Prins Carnaval!
