In the West we know very little about Ukraine and they know very little about us in the West. In this essays the author tries to give an objective glimpse of the many current misunderstandings an prejudices on both sides. Western Euriope is in many aspects not the Paradise people in Ukraine think it is and Ukraine has also many unknown positive sides beside the dark sides such as poverty, corruption and mismangement of this potential rich country.
