In fairytales, the magical happens. The illogical also happens. Bad decisions are made, people marry homicidal psychopaths, and there is a disturbing tendency to abandon children in the middle of dangerous forests.
The retelling of the fairytales in this book try to insert just a modicum of common sense - or, failing that, at least point out the truly horrendous lack of it.
