De Nieuwe Vertaling uit 1951 is meer bekend onder de niet-officiële naam NBG-vertaling 1951. Deze vertaling van de Bijbel kwam tot stand in opdracht van het Nederlands Bijbelgenootschap en werd in 1951 geïntroduceerd. De NBG-vertaling 1951 vond ingang bij een brede kring protestanten. De vertaling kenmerkt zich door een klassiek woord- en zinsgebruik en staat hierdoor op beperkte afstand van de Statenvertaling.
