Maritime aerial photographer Herman IJsseling of Flying Focus has been fascinated by the sea under the influence of passing storms all his working live. Ever since Flying Focus was started, he has been flying out in his Cessna to photograph ships and installations between high waves or breaking seas. In the beginning only up to Beaufort 8, but since the purchase of a sturdy twin-engine Cessna Skymaster in 2005 also up to Beaufort 10!
