Camera Obscura is een verhalenbundel die Nicolaas Beets schreef onder de pseudoniem Hildebrand. Het grootste deel van de tekst werd geschreven in 1837. Beets was toen nog student theologie. De daarop volgende jaren voegde hij verhalen aan het werk toe. Pas in 1851 kreeg het zijn definitieve vorm.
