Op een ochtend is Bange Smurf het slachtoffer van een slechte mop van Lolsmurf, en plots… is hij van niets of niemand meer bang. Even later verliest Smulsmurf zijn eetlust en daarna wordt Luilaksmurf hyperactief… Ze hebben allemaal eventjes een stoffige mantel aangetrokken die ze hadden gevonden in een koffer. De tovermantel zaait al snel tweedracht in het dorp!
