Mapping is the translation of geographical information into graphic symbols (Ufuah, 2006). He furtherstated that, mapping further modifies this information by the abstraction processes of selection, classification, simplification, exaggeration and symbolization. Mapping is the creation of maps, a graphic symbolic representation of the significant features of a part of the serface of the Earth. Maps are graphics representation of geospatial features of the earth surface that are drawn to scale and regarded as a useful document when other varieties of information are added to it (Okwori, 2006).
