"Household Tales" was published in 1812 by the brothers Grimm and has been entertaining the masses ever since. However, it was known not just for "Little Red Riding Hood." Popular tales like Cinderella, Hansel and Gretel, Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, are just some of the examples of well-known modern stories that had their beginning in the Grimm brothers' collection of fairy tales. Over the years, various editions of Grimms' "Fairy Tales" were released, obscuring the magic of the original. This 1884 translation by Margaret Hunt from German to English contains all of the original tales, allowing you the closest you can get to that magic, unless you know German!
