Since the Christianization of Rus' in 988, the church has been playing a significant role in the public, cultural and everyday life of Russian people. The church became a sanctuary of the lifestyle of our ancestors. Visiting the church, they would not only pray to God or take part in the sacraments, but they would also socially network, learn news, find shelter and food, and take aesthetic enjoyment of the architecture and interior decoration. Russian churches are among the most beautiful in the world and more than that they are the reflection of the Russian soul with all the greatness of their icons, frescoes, white brick walls and golden domes.
During my journeys, I visited some Russian orthodox churches in different places of the world. So, in this book, I'd like to show and tell a little bit about them.
I have a question about the book:
‘50 Russian Orthodox Churches - Vlasov, Andrey’.
