This little book began about five years ago. I am a Registered Nurse, and at that time I was working as a training and organizational development specialist. Our organization had fallen on hard times and was about to be sold to a much larger company. One of my colleagues made a comment about the rapid amount of change we were experiencing. I must say I had to agree.
I have been a student of organizational, team and personal dynamics for many years, so within these pages you will see the influence of some of the greatest minds in this field: Drucker, Maxwell, Collins and Covey. However, the first seed of this book didn't come from any of theirs. You see, layoffs, new leadership, and rumors of closings left a lot of unsettled feelings in our organization, and in an effort to ease some of my colleagues' concerns, I wrote my first leadership tip on change that day. I sent it out by e-mail and, unlike most inter-office memos; I received a lot of positive feedback. Encouraged, I began writing short and to the point useful tips to both my clients and colleagues to address what I and others were going through-normal organizational issues addressed from a constructive yet realistic perspective.
I have a question about the book:
‘LeadershipTips - Carter Campbell’.
