Private Investigator, Charlie Kain, is employed to solve a mystery.

wants Charlie to investigate the disappearance of his childhood friend, Eve Adams, a physicist.
But Charlie is not engaged to look into Eve's first disappearance.

Instead, he is called in to explore her second disappearance.
