Speak English, You're in America is a prose poetry collection that explores the complexities of belonging. When Carolina was forced to leave the place she knew as home and started over in foreign land, her sense of belonging became blurry, and her search for a place to call home spilled into every aspect of life. This book explores the journey of missing what was left behind enough not to allow it to disappear from within, belonging or the lack of it, and the ultimate realization that home can be more than one place: one's place of birth and wherever one chooses to stay.
