Cyclone superfan Kyle Oppenhuizen wrote about his journey as an Iowa State football fan told through the lens of attending every game during the highly anticipated, always entertaining 2021 season. What he hoped was going to be a book about watching a championship football team turned into something more. It's about the love he has for his favorite team - the anticipation, the ups and downs along the way, and the irrationality of it all. It is about making new friends, strengthening relationships and gaining a greater perspective about what it means to be a fan. Being a Cyclone football fan isn't perfect, but as Oppenhuizen discovered, it is a perfect storm.
