Derek is a fallen angel, formerly of the Knights Templar. Disillusioned with God and his grand plan, he chooses to remain forever in Limbo, fighting against the Dark Angels, rather than enter into Heaven. But then news of impending war between the forces of good and evil sends Derek to save mankind.
