Although the Urdu afsaana (short story) has a very young history, it has quickly become one of the most significant literary subgenres in the Urdu literature. This book 'Band Khidkiyaan' contains selected short stories from contemporary Urdu fiction which were published in some issues of "Sabras" magazine by Idara-e-Adabiyat-e-Urdu, Hyderabad, India.
