After confronting his insecurities about raising a child with disabilities, author Ron Gibbens, along with his wife, Faye, realized their self-doubt was the least of their issues. The traditional school system separated their son, Mike, who has cerebral palsy, from his neighborhood friends, and the entire family faced financial difficulties because of Mike's medical needs.
