Lucila, a Cuban-American octogenarian, embarked in a search of her family history as her legacy for future generations to appreciate where they came from. She had a comfortable life in Cuba, and immigrated penniless to the United States as a political refugee. Coincidentally, many of her ancestors found themselves in similar predicaments centuries before. She is thankful for the opportunities received in America, and proud her family thrived in only one generation. Her nickname "Lucky" was a premonition of things to come!
