The Loch Lomond & Cowal Way runs for 57 miles across the Cowal peninsula, easily reached from Glasgow. The route starts on Loch Fyne and ends on Loch Lomond. The trail is well waymarked, and has rugged terrain with glorious views over the Firth of Clyde. The area is rich in heritage and wildlife, with red squirrels, red deer and golden eagles.
