This document has been prepared to assist in the provision of metallurgical training which is essential in all metal-related businesses. The importance of metallurgical training has also been identified by the 2014 European roadmap for Metallurgy.
This is not a comprehensive documentation of metallurgical theory and practice, but a simple and basic introduction to the salient aspects which are essential to achieve a level of awareness and understanding in metallurgy to assist with the control of the quality of product, solving problems and preventing errors.
