Prior to his teaching career, he worked as a practicing Pathologist for many years both in India and Abroad. Dr. Omkareshwar graduated with a M.B.B.S degree in 1972 from Kakatiya Medical College. He also has a Diploma in Clinical Pathology (D.C.P) from Kakatiya Medical College and M.D Pathology from Osmania Medical College.
Apart from his academic excellence, Dr. Omkareshwar is an avid reader, multi-lingual scholar, very proficient in ancient Indian history, mythology and astrology.
