When her best friend migrates to New York, Noelle Goodison finds it difficult to cope until she happens upon a lucky distraction in the form of Ryan Reece. Ryan feels an irresistible attraction to Noelle from the very first moment he lays eyes on her but Noelle sees him as an annoying nuisance. When Noelle plays hard-to-get, an undercover matchmaker steps in. But then headstrong Noelle's defiance surfaces and the usually confident Ryan wonders whether he is fighting a losing battle. Will Noelle surrender to his charm? Mandisa M. Parnell was born in the parish of St. Andrew, Jamaica and was raised in the historic community of August Town. She has been writing stories since the tender age of ten. Reading is her second passion and she is also a closet artist. A graduate of the Ardenne High School, she is currently enrolled at the University of the West Indies, Mona where she is reading for a Bachelor's Degree in English. She has entered the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission's (JCDC) Creative Writing Competition twice, earning a Merit Award in 2013 and a Silver Award in July 2014.
