As steward Kel Coesson plots his escape from a brutal, corrupt chieftain, a strange woman arrives at their Icelandic compound. Someone there knows her and loves her-but the woman remembers nothing of her past. The stakes grow when Kel realizes the chieftain intends to take over all of Iceland, destroying its democracy and ruling as king.
