Taking care of a parent is a challenge. You think because you have known them all your life, it should be familiar territory. For me, I realized quickly it was territory unchartered. The time spent caregiving produced emotions equally unfamiliar. This book is not about how to be a successful caregiver; otherwise, this book would not exist. This book is about pure, transparent emotions. This book is about the ups and downs of my caregiving months, and how God stretched, healed, comforted and brought joy to me in unexpected ways. When I needed God the most, He was faithful...He even sent redbirds!
